US National Whitewater Center - The official US Olympic Training site recently opened in 2006 and is open to the general public. The center provides Class III/IV whitewater rafting and kayaking along with 11 miles of hiking/biking trails.
Bobcats Arena - Home of the NBA Charlotte Bobcats. A new state of the art arena in the heart of uptown Charlotte that also hosts concerts and shows coming to the Charlotte area. |
Paramount's Carowinds - Carowinds is a local theme park that includes roller coasters, a water park, and rides for kids as well.
Lowes Motor Speedway - The Charlotte area is considered the heart of NASCAR racing. If you are into NASCAR and fast cars this is the place to be.
Discovery Place - This is a kid friendly museum that is located Uptown in the heart of Charlotte.
Concord Mills Outlet Mall - Being the largest mall in the Carolina's, this mall has something for everyone.
Carolina Panthers - Charlotte is home to the NFL's Carolina Panthers. Go by and check out Bank of America stadium or catch a game if they are playing while you are in town.
Charlotte Knights Baseball - If you like baseball catch a game in Fort Mill, SC at Knights Stadium, home of the Charlotte Knights AAA baseball team.
